An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Registered Vet Nurse to join the day team at a busy 24-hour RCVS-accredited hospital and emergency service centre in West Yorkshire.
Serving as a training hub for veterinary nurses, the hospital provides out-of-hours and referral-level support to 19 referring practices alongside a thriving first-opinion service. The role offers exposure to a vast variety of cases, ranging from routine patient care to complex medical and referral cases.
The practice features a team of over 60 colleagues, including vets and nurses holding postgraduate certificates in Emergency & Critical Care (ECC), Small Animal Surgery, Medicine, Dentistry, and Anaesthesia. RVNs work at the heart of inpatient, anaesthesia, and surgical care within a nurse-led environment.
Applications are welcomed from experienced RVNs looking to bring strong clinical depth to the team, as well as newly qualified RVNs who have trained within a hospital environment and developed practical experience in anaesthesia and inpatient care.
📋 Position Details:
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (working 4 days per week)
- Shifts: Combination of early and late shifts
- Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 weekends (two 10-hour shifts)

- Gain exposure to advanced clinical skills, including feeding tube management, wound and drain care, complex medical cases, and advanced anaesthesia monitoring.
- Further develop Schedule 3 surgical skills.
- Rotate through key hospital areas including wards and theatre.
- Access dedicated team WhatsApp support groups and regular in-house CPD sessions.
- Comprehensive team support including a Mental Health First Aider and a team member training as a life coach.
👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with active RCVS registration.
- Motivation, compassion, and enthusiasm to develop skills in a hospital setting.
