An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the dedicated overnight team in Wiltshire.
This permanent role is situated within a state-of-the-art facility (just off the M4). It offers an immersive environment to develop advanced nursing expertise in emergency and critical care, working alongside a collaborative team of specialist clinicians and highly skilled nursing leadership.
The Rota & Core Schedule
- Hours: 19:30 to 07:30 (12-hour shifts)
- Contracted Hours: Standard pattern is 4 night shifts, averaging 24.1 hours per week.
- Flexibility: The hospital is highly open to discussing alternative shift patterns or fewer nights for the right candidate.
The Referral Environment
You will gain direct exposure to complex, rewarding cases and build immense depth in your clinical skillset across multiple specialist disciplines, including:
- Internal Medicine, Neurology & Cardiology
- Orthopaedics & Soft Tissue Surgery
- Advanced Dentistry & Ophthalmology
- Diagnostic Imaging & Emergency and Critical Care (ECC)
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering gold-standard overnight nursing care to complex referral and ECC patients within the wards and ICU.
- Monitoring, managing, and advocating for critical inpatient cases.
- Ensuring seamless continuity of care and swift recovery support throughout the night.
- Collaborating closely with overnight referral clinicians and the ECC Manager to maintain peak clinical standards.
*Previous referral or out-of-hours experience is beneficial but not essential. Full, structured training and support are provided, making this the perfect step for an ambitious primary care nurse looking to transition into a referral hospital setting.
