We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Surgeon to join our lovely practice based in Bucksburn and become a valued member of our team.
Aurora Vet Clinic is a well-established purpose-built veterinary practice which opened in February 2006 and has recently undergone an exciting new refurbishment. We provide comprehensive companion animal medical and surgical care to Aberdeen and the surrounding community.
All our treatments are tailored to individual needs with clients involved in the decision making. Kindness, care and empathy are at the centre of every case.
The Role:
- Fixed term contract – 18 months (maternity cover) anticipated start date March/April 2026
- Full-time/part-time – up to 40 hrs/week (we recognise the importance of work life balance and are open to flexible working)
- Shifts Mon – Fri between 8am and 7pm
- 1:4 Saturdays
- No OOH !! – all OOH goes to a local provider

You’ll be part of a warm, collaborative team made up of 5 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 6 fantastic RVNs, an Animal Care Assistant and 3 friendly Receptionists — all genuinely dedicated to giving every client and their pet the very best experience.
We’re proud of the expertise within our team, including a surgical certificate holder and another colleague currently working towards their medicine certificate. We truly value growth, so you’ll find plenty of encouragement to pursue CPD and develop the clinical interests that inspire you.
