MJ Health is currently seeking an experienced Permanent Veterinary Surgeon with an Orthopaedic interest for a well-established veterinary group in South Wales
Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for orthopaedics, or a GP vet wishing to develop their orthopaedic skills with full support. The role involves working across multiple RCVS accredited branches with excellent facilities and a supportive team. Flexible working patterns available including full-time (4-day week) or part-time.
Salary: DOE
Animal type: Small animal
Shifts: Day rota, 8:45am start to last appointment at 6:15pm, 15-minute consults
Full time/Part time: Full-time preferred (4-day week), part-time considered
Out of hours: No night on-call weekends or bank holidays; participation in weekday inpatient on-call rota (1:6) and Saturday rota (1:5)
Weekends: Saturday rota 1 in 5
Sole charge: Role includes leading orthopaedic service with support from experienced surgeons and a visiting advanced practitioner
Team Size: Multiple branches with a large team including certificate holders in surgery, internal medicine, and other specialties
Equipment/facilities available: Ultrasound, digital X-ray, in-house blood machines, endoscopy, recently refurbished branches, plans for CT scanner extension
