The Role

Seafield Veterinary Group, Keith is looking for a mixed veterinary surgeon to join their team. A truly mixed role with 45% Farm animal, 5% equine and 50% small animal. Offering the opportunity to build up experience in all disciplines whilst working with more senior vets in each area. Specialisation or becoming species specific will be supported as they transition as a practice. 
 
You will be involved in all aspects of mixed practice initially involving routine small animal consults, all basic surgery, farm and equine first opinion calls with opportunity to develop skills in any area of interest such as fertility, diagnostic imaging, lameness etc.
 

Rota

Working up to 40 hours per week
Across 5 days per week
1:4 nights and weekends – TOIL for on call worked (2nd backup vet always on call)
 

Salary

Up to £60,000 negotiable D.O.E.
Relocation allowance of up to £5,000
 

About Us

Mixed practice based on 3 sites with good facilities. Usual toys and internal referral to experienced staff encouraged. Large animal work also to a very high standard with a proactive approach, fertility work and a strong base of pedigree and commercial stock. 
 
A very short distance from the Moray Coast, an hour from the Cairngorm National Park and Aviemore and an hour from Aberdeen or Inverness Airports. A stunning rural area with great transport links. 
 

About the Team and Culture

Currently 12 Vets with around 8 Full Time Equivalents, a team of 6 nurses supporting our small animal vets. Farm Animal Certificate holder and internal training encouraged in all disciplines. All staff are made to feel very welcome as part of a busy and friendly team in this truly mixed practice, a hub of the local community. Further certification is fully funded and supported.
 

Applicant Requirements 

Must be a MRCVS, experience preferred but we can also support a recent or new graduate who wants to develop skills as full support available.
