We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Head RVN to step into a senior nursing position at a well-established small animal practice in Berkshire. If you are a confident, inspiring nurse ready to lead a team and make a genuine difference — this one is worth your time.
The Working Pattern
- 4 days per week
- 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital
- No routine out of hours
The Practice
A well-regarded, cat-friendly accredited practice with over 1,300 active clients and a loyal, established client base. The practice features two consult rooms with dedicated space for nurse-led clinics, X-ray facilities and access to advanced diagnostics including MRI, CT, ultrasound, endoscopy and ECG. Out-of-hours cover is provided by a fully staffed 24-hour hospital — meaning your patients are always in safe hands.
Set in a great location with easy access to the countryside, close to iconic landmarks and just an hour from London with Heathrow Airport only 10 minutes away.
What the role involves
As Head RVN, you will combine hands-on clinical delivery with nursing leadership — inspiring and developing your team while maintaining the high standards of care that this practice prides itself on.
Day to day you will be:
- Leading nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities
- Supporting consults, surgeries and clinical procedures
- Overseeing patient monitoring, admissions and discharges
- Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and development to the nursing team
- Ensuring consistently excellent care for both patients and clients

- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with proven leadership experience
