The Opportunity
An established independent small animal practice in beautiful rural West Berkshire is looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to its friendly and supportive team.
This role offers a varied mix of consulting and operating, with an excellent balance of medical and surgical cases. There are genuine opportunities to develop your own interests, undertake a certificate, or even take on additional responsibility within the practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality first opinion veterinary care
- Manage both consulting and surgical duties
- Work confidently with a varied medical and surgical caseload
- Participate in the shared Saturday morning rota
- Provide occasional sole charge whilst enjoying support from colleagues when needed
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice
About You
- MRCVS qualified Veterinary Surgeon
- Previous small animal experience required
- Comfortable with occasional sole charge
- Keen to develop clinical interests and pursue further qualifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential
Working Pattern
- Flexible 4 or 4.5-day week
- Shared Saturday morning rota
- Out-of-hours covered by a dedicated emergency provider
- Working pattern can be tailored to suit individual requirements
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of £45,000–£65,000 depending on experience
