Join a modern, forward-thinking small animal practice in Bristol, South West England, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong general practice skills. The Opportunity
You’ll be a key part of the veterinary team, providing high-quality first-opinion care, delivering preventive services, and supporting pets and their owners with outstanding customer service. This role offers dedicated admin time, a healthy work-life balance, and flexibility where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of clinical and surgical care
- Provide diagnostic workups, medical management and routine surgeries
- Offer excellent client communication and support
- Work collaboratively with the wider clinical and non-clinical team
- Promote pet wellbeing and proactive healthcare
Role & Rota
- Full-time, 39 hours per week
- 4-day working week with a consistent set day off
- 1:4 weekend rota
- 9-hour shifts with a mix of consults and surgery
- Dedicated 1-hour admin time built into each day
Shift patterns include:
- 8:00–17:30
- 9:30–19:00
- 10:30–20:00
- 15-minute consults
- Flexibility available—rota can be discussed to suit individual needs
Team & Facilities
- Supportive team of 5 vets and 6 RVNs, plus dedicated client care staff
- Modern, spacious, purpose-built premises
- 6 consult rooms, 2 theatres, imaging suite, dental suite
- On-site equipment includes: biochemistry, haematology, urinalysis, microscopy, X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, orthopaedic kit, tonopen
