Are you a passionate and experienced Vet looking to join a friendly, supportive team in a well-established, modern practice? We’re recruiting on behalf of a thriving, independent-minded first opinion small animal practice located in Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join a collaborative, patient-focused team that values clinical freedom and work-life balance.
🏥 About the Practice:
This forward-thinking practice has been serving the local community for over a decade and boasts a loyal, growing client base. The team is small but skilled and highly supportive, including multiple RVNs, student nurses, veterinary care assistants, and an experienced admin team. Regular locum support highlights the welcoming and positive environment.
The clinic is well-equipped with everything you’d expect for high-quality general practice care, including:
- Digital X-ray
- Ultrasound
- In-house laboratory
- Laser therapy
- Separate dog and cat wards
- Isolation unit
- Modern surgical theatre and consult rooms
🧑⚕️ The Role:
This role is ideal for a confident Vet with strong first-opinion experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently when needed. You’ll enjoy a varied caseload across consults and surgery, with the time and support to work up cases properly and maintain continuity of care.
- Full-time (40 hours/week) with part-time options available
- No out-of-hours work
- 1 in 3 Saturday rota (8am–6pm) – flexible and negotiable
- Mix of consultations and surgical time
- Strong focus on client relationships and case continuity
