Does a full-time salary for only half the year working sound like music to your ears?

We have a rare opportunity to join the team at Fellowes Equine. We are looking for an Equine Vet to support our existing team in the out of hours rota. The successful candidate would take on approximately 50% of the first call out of hours rota, dovetailing with our other OOH Vet, in a week on week off arrangement, always with the backup of a second on call Vet.

The practice offers excellent care to a diverse range of equine patients of which the out of hours work is an integral part. There may be the opportunity to earn extra income by providing locum cover for days at the practice, if you would be interested.

Although the role is out of hours, you would become part of the team at the practice and benefit from the support of the other Vets with a broad range of interests and qualifications including multiple RCVS certificate holders.

The role is mainly ambulatory, but you would have access to the facilities at the clinic including stabling, knock down box/surgical suite, clinic room with stocks, DR, ultrasound, videoscopes, etc.

Due to having a tech savvy Practice Manager a lot of our admin tasks, including bookings, on call rota, holiday requests and remote access to the PMS are taken care of by a series of bespoke phone Apps.

This role will offer the ultimate work-life balance. It will also allow you to expand your professional interests, with funded CPD and development encouraged. Certificate holders, or those studying for a certificate, will be encouraged, however, the right person for our team is more important than experience alone.

What could we offer you?

To apply, or for an informal chat, please contact our Practice Manager, Mark Day - [email protected] who would be more than happy to show you around and discuss what life at Fellowes Farm could look like for you.

Address: Fellowes Farm Equine Clinic Ltd, Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom
