The Practice We’re Supporting
GVC is working with a large, purpose‑driven small‑animal hospital in the Cardiff area. This hospital plays a significant role in providing accessible veterinary care and supports a high volume of pets and owners each year. With a long history of community impact, a strong clinical team and a culture built on collaboration, the hospital offers a stable and well‑structured environment for an experienced vet seeking a senior leadership role.
What You’ll Do
- Provide leadership across the hospital, supporting veterinary surgeons, nurses and client‑care teams through effective line management.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring smooth workflow, safe clinical practice and a supportive working environment.
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance, patient safety and evidence‑based care.
- Lead rota planning, resource allocation and operational decision‑making to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage treatment costs and hospital expenditure, ensuring responsible and sustainable use of resources.
- Support a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement and positive client experience.

- A full‑time working pattern of 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility considered.
