GVC is supporting a well-established independent small animal practice in Guernsey seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team during an exciting period of investment and transformation. This role would suit a vet with at least 2 years’ experience who enjoys genuine clinical freedom, continuity with clients, and being part of a close-knit, supportive team.

The Practice
This is a busy and varied small animal practice operating across two sites, offering a full range of first opinion services including:
- Consultations
- Routine and intermediate surgery
- Medical workups
- Dentistry
- Diagnostic imaging
Most cases are worked up in-house, with only advanced imaging such as CT and MRI referred externally. The team is focused on delivering high standards of care while rebuilding systems, investing in facilities, and strengthening clinical culture.
The Role
You’ll enjoy a varied caseload with the autonomy to manage and work up your own cases, while still having support from experienced colleagues when needed.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building strong client relationships and wants to contribute positively to a growing and evolving practice.

The ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with at least 2 years’ experience
- Be confident with routine consultations and surgery
- Enjoy collaborative working and supporting colleagues
- Have excellent communication and client care skills
