Ashbrook Equine Hospital – due to internal promotion and another vet relocating, we are looking for a dedicated Equine Vet with stud experience to join our friendly, close-knit team in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied ambulatory role within a supportive hospital setting, offering autonomy, collaboration, and genuine work-life balance.

We’re a small, well-established equine hospital with a strong reputation and excellent team retention — our people stay because they love the culture here. Our team usually made up of 6 ambulatory vets is supported by 2 Hospital based surgeons and 6 RVNs, with nursing support on-site 24/7, to ensure smooth continuity of care and a true team approach.
We’re proud to offer top-class facilities, including:

We encourage our vets to follow up on their own cases, we perform our own elective and emergency surgeries 24/7, and we continuously develop their clinical interests.
🕐 The Role
This role includes a 1:10 ambulatory on-call rota and a 1:10 Hospital on-call rota (effectively 1:5 split), with two days off after your ambulatory on-call week. Our OOH service is supported by Equicall, helping to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Working hours typically from 8.00am - 5.30 p.m.; however, we are happy to discuss part-time ways of working.
