An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the 24-hour night team at a dedicated hospital practice near Manchester, close to the Peak District and Lake District.
This role offers a varied caseload, caring for hospitalised inpatients and attending to out-of-hours emergency cases. You will be supported by a team of nurses throughout every shift, enjoying an exceptional work-life balance provided by a 7 nights on, 14 nights off working pattern.
🏥 Facilities & Equipment:
The hospital features advanced equipment and expertise to support gold-standard patient care, including:
- Advanced diagnostic imaging (CT scanner)
- Doppler echocardiography
- Flexible and rigid endoscopes
- Direct radiography suites & ultrasound scanners

📅 Rota & Working Pattern:
- Rota Pattern: 7 nights on, 14 nights off.
- Duties: Inpatient care and out-of-hours A&E cases.
- Support: Dedicated nursing support on shift.
- Sole Charge: Yes (experience required).
👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS.
- Confident, experienced clinician capable of managing sole-charge emergency duties.
- Dedicated to high-standard patient care and strong client communication.
