An exciting position has opened for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive, busy 7-branch group in Cheshire.
This role is based within a Tier 3 hospital setting focused on caring for inpatients. The group is supported by its own out-of-hours clinic and an in-house, multi-disciplinary certificate-led referral team. With an exciting and diverse caseload, this position offers an ideal environment to aid your clinical progression alongside a collaborative, friendly team.
🏥 Facilities & Equipment:
You will have access to an extensive range of advanced equipment across the group, including:
- Advanced diagnostic imaging (CT scanner)
- Doppler echocardiography
- Flexible and rigid endoscopes
- Direct radiography suites & ultrasound scanners
- Dental radiography
- Electrocautery & laparoscopy
- Advanced anaesthesia equipment
📅 Rota & Hours:
- Average Working Week: 40 hours per week.
- Shift Pattern: Variety of day shifts (7:30am – 5:30pm) and Twilight shifts (4:00pm – 12:00am midnight).
- Sole Charge: Includes elements of sole charge (experience required).
- Weekends: Worked on a rota basis, with lieu time provided off in the week.
👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS.
- Previous clinical experience is required due to sole charge duties within the hospital setting.
- Dedicated to delivering gold-standard care with engaged client consent.
💰 Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (typical range dependent on experience and working hours; to be discussed at interview).
- Holiday Allowance: 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays (pro-rata), plus buy & sell holiday options.
