Lead a stable GP team | No OOH | Clear development pathway
If You’re Ready for More Than Just Another GP Role
If you enjoy being a genuinely good vet, not rushing from consult to consult, having the space to think, lead, and build relationships with clients and colleagues, this role is worth a closer look.
This is an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who wants clinical variety, influence within a team, and a working week that still leaves room for a life outside the practice.
The Opportunity
We’re working with a well-established small animal practice in Warrington that has built something refreshingly solid. A consistent client base, a loyal team, and a culture that values calm, thorough veterinary medicine over constant firefighting.
They are looking for an experienced GP Veterinary Surgeon to step into a senior, lead-style position. Not to overhaul everything, but to guide, support, and help maintain high standards of care. You will be trusted to practise medicine your way, supported by a capable team and sensible systems.
This role suits someone confident in all-round GP work, ideally with a particular interest in medicine and imaging, who enjoys mentoring others and taking ownership of their clinical environment.
Why This Role Is Different
A Role With Real Influence
You will be a key figure within the practice, shaping clinical standards, supporting colleagues, and contributing to how the service evolves, without corporate pressure or unrealistic targets.
Proper GP Medicine
Preventive care, continuity of cases, and time to work cases up properly. This is not a conveyor belt. The practice values thoughtful diagnostics and client communication.
Sensible Hours That Stay Sensible
The rota is built around 4 x 9-hour days with a 1 in 4 weekend rotation, giving an average working week of 39 hours and no out-of-hours work.
Stability You Can Feel
This is a settled practice with a consistent team and client base. The focus is on long-term relationships, not short-term fixes.
Your Journey Here
In Your First Month
You will focus on settling in, getting to know the team, understanding how the practice runs, and building rapport with clients. Support is there when you need it, without micromanagement.
By Three Months
You will be confidently managing your caseload, contributing to clinical discussions, and beginning to put your own stamp on how cases are approached, particularly in areas like medicine and imaging.
By Six Months
You will be fully established as a senior presence in the practice, helping guide standards, supporting colleagues, and shaping how the team continues to develop.
