About Us:
Established 36 years ago, Spa View Veterinary Clinic is a progressive practice with clinics in Johnstown (Large Animal), Co. Kilkenny and Thurles (Small Animal), Co. Tipperary. We have a long standing, loyal client base and are a friendly, tight-knit team consisting of 4 Vets, 2 Vet Nurses (plus a student nurse), 1 TB assistant, 3 Receptionists and 1 Practice Manager.

The Role:
Day-to-day will include emergency and routine LA farm work including TB testing and Mastitis & Parasitology visits. Small Animal duties vary from consulting to operating. There is a 70% Large Animal / 30% Small Animal split.
This is a full-time role with 1-2 nights on call per week. Weekend rota of 1:3 from January to May and 1:6 rota between June 1st and January 1st (We share the rota with a neighbouring practice during this time).
Salary of up to €60,000 depending on experience.
So, who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will be someone with initial experience in practice beyond graduation, though a New Graduate will be considered as we have an excellent support structure in place. Willingness to learn and work as part of the team are essential.
The Area:
The clinics are located approximately 2 hours from Dublin and 1 hour from Cork. Thurles is served by a Train Station with regular daily services to Dublin and Cork. There are a lot of sport facilities and teams to get involved with Hurling, football, Rugby, Golf, swimming and a local Theatre that hosts weekly events. There is something for everyone!
