Full Time Vet Role In Cumbria (PT Considered)
Cumbria, United Kingdom
We’re looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic vet to join a supportive and well-established small animal team at a single-site, 100% small animal practice. This is a full-time role, though part-time will be considered for the right person.
The Practice
This is a practice where clinical standards and continuity of care are a priority. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on developing and maintaining a broad skill set within general practice, while offering excellent care to patients and clients alike.
They offer both preventative and non-routine care via in-house health plans, and encourage vets to take a hands-on approach to medical and surgical case workups. You’ll have access to digital x-ray (including dental), ultrasound, video endoscopy, and full in-house lab (biochemistry and haematology), giving you the tools to follow through on your clinical decisions.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build long-term relationships with clients and work within a team that values continuity, kindness and clinical integrity. They're looking for someone with a good grounding in first opinion practice—confident with consulting and routine ops, and comfortable with occasional sole charge. A new grad is already in place, so they’re looking for someone with some experience under their belt.
Appointments are 15 minutes as standard. You'll be supported by a strong nursing team (5 RVNs, student nurses and an ACA), as well as a friendly and capable reception team. They are proud to be RCVS-accredited, Gold Compassionate Understood, and a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic. They're also working towards Investors in the Environment.
OOH is on a 1:4 rota with fixed days and consistent duty nights. Any work done is remunerated, and the rota allows for a good work-life balance. Flexibility within the team makes swaps straightforward when needed.
