Mixed Veterinary Surgeon – Derbyshire
An exciting opportunity awaits a mixed veterinary surgeon with my client, offering a diverse role consisting of 80% small animal, 20% farm (primarily beef and sheep with some dairy), and a minor equine component. The large animal work spans a range from larger dairy farms to smaller beef and sheep farms, including routine herd health work with Easiscanner technology, general ambulatory tasks, and fertility testing for bulls and tups. The practice conducts its own TB testing and provides advisory visits for TB, BVD, and Johnes. The position involves participation in a busy lambing period, with a lambing club for farmers.
While a full-time role, part-time applicants will be considered. The on-call rota is 1:7, and there is a 1:7 consulting Saturday morning schedule.
