Our client has an opportunity for a vet to join their night team on a fixed-term basis.
The practice is well-equipped with six consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards, three sterile theatres, separate suites for diagnostics, dental facilities, digital x-ray, two staff rooms and much more. This team works to high standards throughout and is dedicated to delivering amazing client and patient care. You will be working alongside a dedicated night RVN and have support from the twilight staff for the first part of the shift and will then be responsible for dealing with all out-of-hour care.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for
- Performing a wide range of surgical procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and post-operative care to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
- Communicate and Collaborate with the team to develop treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe medications and prescriptions.
- Administer routine vaccinations and immunisations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the support team.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Excellent communication skills
- Critical thinking skills to diagnose complex cases and make informed decisions when handling emergency cases and providing critical care for patients.
This is a 9-month fixed-term, part-time role working alongside other night vets to complete the team. The Rota would be as follows: Week 1- off, Week 2 - Monday to Wednesday on, Week 3 - Monday to Thursday on, week 4 - off.
This role offers a salary up to £72,000 DOE (FTE) with a range of benefits including,
