An independent, family‑owned small animal practice in East Devon is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly, supportive and well‑equipped team. Full‑time and part‑time applicants are equally welcome, and the role can be shaped around the right person.
The Practice This is a modern, well‑established practice with two RCVS PSS‑GP accredited branches, offering high‑quality first‑opinion care in a calm, supportive environment. The team includes certificate, diploma and specialist‑level clinicians, an excellent RVN team central to the practice’s workflow, and experienced reception staff who help maintain smooth daily operations.
Both sites are equipped with:
- Digital X‑ray
- Doppler ultrasound
- Digital tonometry
- Keyhole surgery facilities (at one site)
- Clean, modern clinical spaces
The Role This position offers genuine clinical autonomy, strong support, and a sustainable working pattern. Key details include:
- Full‑time or part‑time options
- 20‑minute consults as standard
- No OOH at all
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings only
- Support from certificate, diploma and specialist‑level colleagues
- Strong RVN support and a collaborative team culture
The practice places emphasis on giving vets the time and resources to work cases up properly, build client relationships, and maintain a healthy work‑life balance.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary £45,000–£65,000 depending on experience
- £1,500 pro‑rata CPD budget (including travel and accommodation contribution)
