About the Practice
Would you like to work in a genuinely independent practice where you have time to do the job properly, excellent clinical equipment and support, and a life outside work?
This fully independent, family- and vet-owned small animal practice is situated close to the coast in the beautiful East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty—around 25 minutes from Exeter Airport and the M5, and within an hour of Dartmoor. Over the last 12 years, they have built an independent practice with excellent facilities, high clinical standards, a loyal client base, and a team that tries hard to look after one another.
The practice features two RCVS Practice Standards Scheme GP-accredited branches, offering high-quality first-opinion care in a friendly, supportive, and well-equipped environment.
The Role & Philosophy
The practice philosophy is to build the job around the right person, and both full-time and part-time applicants are very welcome (in fact, most of the vets here work part-time).
Standard appointments are set to 20-minute consults, giving you the time to work cases up properly, build relationships with clients, and practise in a way that feels sustainable. There are no OOH nights at all, ensuring your downtime remains entirely your own.
The Team & Facilities
You will be joining a strong clinical team, working alongside a medical certificate holder, a medicine diploma holder / European Specialist, and a Practice Manager with premium referral practice experience. The superb RVN team is central to how the practice runs, providing excellent support to the vets alongside a friendly, capable reception team.
- Both sites offer clean, modern clinical spaces with advanced equipment, including:
- Digital X-ray
- Doppler ultrasound
- Digital tonometry
- Keyhole surgery facilities (at one of the branch sites)
What is On Offer:
- Salary of £45,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
