The Pet Health Partnership is a proudly independent, small animal practice in Dorset with branches in Upton and Wareham.
We are looking for an experienced Vet, looking to take on clinical responsibility and leadership across the practice, to contribute to developing and growing the business. Our team consists of five vets, 6 RVN’s, 2 SVN’s and a super team of support staff. We are a proactive and driven bunch, with extremely high standards.
We have a comprehensive inhouse Idexx lab, usual digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound. We’re proud to be a Silver award Cat Friendly practice.
Our clients are well bonded with a significant number on our practice health care plan.
We are looking for a proactive leader, to support and encourage our clinical team, both Vets and nurses. We are a training practice and take great pride in our SVN’s consistently sitting at the top of their class. We would love to have a lead Vet enthusiastic about teaching, in order to take on new a graduate vet as well.
As an independent practice, you will have clinical automony. CPD is encouraged and supported up to certificate level. We believe in developing the skills of our staff. We have regular Vets meetings, where everyones ideas are listened to and clinical cases discussed.
As lead vet, you will have the unique opportunity to develop a practice, and make it your own with the fab team we have. There may be options to “buy in” in future.
Our consults are 15 minutes and you would have a mix of consults and surgery. An interest in orthapedics would be great! There will also be time protected for the more admin side of the role.
Ideally, the role would be 34-38 hours a week over 4 days plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9-12). Work life balance is super important so there is no OOH.
