Our client has an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take the next step in their career as Head Vet at 2 of their branches in Dorset.
As Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a key leadership role, supporting and mentoring your clinical teams while maintaining high standards of patient and client care. This is an ideal opportunity for a vet who enjoys teamwork, is confident in sole charge, and is looking to progress into a leadership position.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading branch team meetings and overseeing the vet rota
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues, including less experienced vets
- Handling clinical queries
- Working alongside the Branch Lead Nurse to provide daily support
- Business and branch development
- Attending monthly Leadership Team meetings
The successful candidate will ideally be an experienced small animal vet with a desire to lead and mentor along with a passion for delivering excellent clinical and client care, with strong communication and leadership skills and can be confident in routine surgery.
This location offers stunning beaches and scenic countryside to historic towns and vibrant cities, Dorset offers the perfect mix of outdoor adventure and cultural experiences. With direct trains to London in under 2.5 hours, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 4 days a week with a shared Saturday morning Rota 8.30am – 12.30pm. However, our client understands the importance of a good work life balance and welcomes all flexible working requests including child friendly hours so please do let us know your preferences.
This role offers a salary from £60,000 DOE and a range of benefits including
