A busy, highly successful small animal surgery located on the East London and Essex border is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their large, established team. Positioned perfectly for an easy commute, the practice offers free on-site parking and fantastic transport links—situated just 25 minutes from central London, 20 minutes from the Essex countryside, and within easy reach of both London City and Southend Airports.

You will be joining a thriving, supportive team of 13 Vets, 12 RVNs, 10 Student Nurses, and 10 Receptionists, working in a spacious, purpose-built facility designed to industry-leading standards.

The Practice & Advanced Facilities:

The team holds a wide variety of individual clinical interests, spanning from advanced internal medicine to soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. The practice continually invests in top-tier technology to improve patient care, featuring:

• 2 dedicated operating theatres
• State-of-the-art ultrasound & digital radiographs
• Full endoscopy suite & on-site CT scanner
• In-house laboratory
• A dedicated, on-site day and night team enabling 24/7 continuous care for all patients.

The Role & Hours:

• Hours: Full-time hours are split across 4 weekdays (Part-time hours will also be fully considered for the right candidate).
• Weekend Rota: Just 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturdays only.
• Case Load: Highly varied, providing excellent day-to-day clinical diversity and career development.

Candidate Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, with significant internal medicine experience.
• Existing UK experience is essential.
• Confidence with occasional sole charge and competence in all routine surgical procedures.
• Strong diagnostic and medicinal skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering fantastic customer service in the consult room.
