GVC is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon on behalf of a well-established, award-nominated small animal practice in South East London. This is a full-time role with no out of hours responsibility, a salary of up to £70,000 and strong development support for vets.
About the practice
This purpose-built surgery has been nominated for both Practice of the Year and Vet of the Year at the Petplan Veterinary Awards. The team includes vets, RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, CCAs and a Practice Manager — experienced across the board and well set up to support new colleagues. Free parking and excellent transport connections including walking distance to a major London rail terminus.
Equipment includes digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, dental X-ray, blood pressure monitoring, tonometry, cautery and suction, and a high-specification four-probe ultrasound machine.
The role
Full time, 40 hours per week. One in four Saturdays. No OOH. Diverse small animal caseload across routine and more complex presentations. Strong culture of in-house training, with vets in the team having achieved certificates in Ophthalmology and Small Animal Medicine during their time here.
