Some roles are about more than the salary. This one happens to have both.
A well-established charitable veterinary organisation is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon Team Leader for their East London hospitals. Over a century of providing vital care to pets whose owners are struggling financially — and they are now growing to reach even more of them.
The role is senior and genuinely substantive. Clinical governance responsibility for the hospital, leading and developing the vet team, surgically biased caseload, evidence-based decision-making.
The kind of role where your clinical skills and your leadership both get used properly. The hospitals are modern and well-equipped — radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, extensive orthopaedic kit, separate dog and cat kennelling. Collaborative teams, varied clinical interests, good case discussion built into the culture.
£72,000 including allowances. 37.5 hours per week, flexible shifts, approximately one in seven to eight weekends with enhanced pay and TOIL. Full RCVS fees paid. Pension contributions up to 10%. Life assurance four times salary. Private medical. Enhanced family leave. Visa sponsorship and relocation support available.
If you are an experienced vet ready for a leadership role that also means something beyond the practice walls, this is worth a conversation.
