Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in your career?
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a Lead Vet role within a friendly, well-established small animal practice.
We’re looking for a confident vet (5+ years UK experience) with strong clinical skills and a passion for mentoring others to lead a close-knit, supportive team. You’ll have the autonomy to make a real impact on clinical standards, patient care and team culture, while enjoying the support of a dedicated practice team.
The Practice:
- A well-equipped clinic with digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, full in-house lab, kennels and a dedicated theatre.
- Balanced caseload of surgery and consultations.
- Supportive team including Vets, Nurses, Client Care Assistants and a Practice Manager.
- Known locally for warmth, continuity of care and excellent client relationships.
Your Responsibilities:
- Delivering outstanding client and patient care.
- Leading and mentoring colleagues to support their development.
- Maintaining high clinical standards, compliance and health & safety.
- Working with the Practice Manager to drive growth and commercial performance.
- Handling client communication, estimates and follow-ups with empathy and professionalism.
- Encouraging a progressive, collaborative team culture.
About You:
✔ RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
✔ 5+ years’ experience in UK practice
✔ Strong clinical and surgical skills
✔ Excellent communicator and team leader
✔ Confident in mentoring, coaching and inspiring colleagues
✔ Commercially aware, with an understanding of how to support practice performance
