We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in advancing their clinical career in a highly equipped hospital setting in East Yorkshire. Whether your passion lies in small animal medicine, diagnostic imaging, or surgery, this is an excellent opportunity to specialise while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.
About the Role:
We are recruiting for:
- A Veterinary Surgeon who holds or is working towards an AVP Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.
- OR an AVP Certificate holder in Diagnostic Imaging to lead the imaging services across the hospital and surrounding practices.
- OR a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong surgical bias keen to lead in surgical casework.
You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team including a dedicated Lead Vet, Head Nurse, Practice Manager, Clinical Vets, RVNs, SVNs, and support staff. The practice is also supported by an established night team of experienced vets and nurses, providing full OOH cover.
Facilities:
- 24-hour hospitalisation with separate dog, cat, exotic, and isolation wards
- Three surgical theatres with updated facilities
- In-house lab services
- Advanced diagnostic imaging including ultrasound, doppler, digital X-ray, CT suite
- Digital endoscopy, rhinoscopy, arthroscopy
- Diagnostic ECG
- Hydrotherapy suite with underwater treadmill
- Laser therapy
Working Pattern:
- 40 hours across 4 days per week
- 1 in 6 weekends

About You:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Strong clinical leadership and teamwork abilities
- Experience in either high-level medical case management, diagnostic imaging, or advanced surgical procedures
- Skilled in mentoring and developing colleagues
- Proactive in driving clinical standards and best practice
