JR has a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to work within a practice housed in a Grade II listed building with an established nursing team and a stable client base, providing a great platform for a vet looking to take a leadership role without starting from scratch.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Deliver exceptional care during consultations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Ensure clear and transparent communication with clients, including providing updates on their pets and preparing accurate treatment estimates.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager.
- Engage, mentor, and develop the veterinary and nursing teams, ensuring optimal use of their skills.
- Support staff development across the practice.
- Coordinate patient handovers for out-of-hours or enhanced care when necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a clinical team, with coaching and influencing skills to maximize colleague potential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a larger team.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
This is a permanent, full-time leadership role. However, our client is happy to consider a part-time role for the right candidate so please do let us know your preferences.
