We’re creating an exciting new role to support and work alongside our emergency E-Vets night team (part of Braid Vets) at our recently-refurbished hospital in Edinburgh!
Our experienced E-Vets team provide a high standard of emergency and hospital care to our in-patients, supported by our Braid team (including certificate-holders in internal medicine, surgery, ECC and ophthalmology).
As a Senior Vet your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a high standard of emergency, hospital and surgical care
- Development of practice protocols to improve our clinical processes and patient care
- Development and support of your clinical colleagues
- Absence cover
Sole charge experience and surgical confidence is a requirement for this position. A post-graduate qualification in a relevant area is desirable but not a requirement. We are passionate about clinical development and are supporting certificates for a number of colleagues. Support in training in people management can also be provided if required; additional management opportunities and responsibilities may be available for the right candidate.
Hours: an average of 40 hours per week, with flexible working available. This is an out-of-hours position with core working hours of 6pm-10pm.
Salary: up to £75,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
