Due to ongoing practice growth, a surgery in Essex is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their vibrant team. Situated in an attractive location combining coastal appeal with direct train links into London in under an hour, this role offers a welcoming environment, gold-standard clinical care, and a genuine work-life balance.
What does the role involve?
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week, 09:00 – 19:30).
- Rota: Includes Saturdays with no OOH commitments.
- Facilities & Team: Work alongside a team of 2 Vets, 1 Head RVN, 2 RVNs, 4 Client Care Advisors, and a Practice Manager. The surgery features a new ultrasound machine (4 probes), endoscope, in-house laboratory, X-ray machine, and dental equipment.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 2 years' UK experience.
- Strong surgical skills (dentistry experience is advantageous).
- Comfortable and confident with lone work and managing your own caseload.
- Passionate about small animal care, a strong communicator, and a supportive team player eager to develop clinically.
What is on offer?
- Salary: £60,000 – £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience / FTE equivalent).
- Holiday: 5.6 weeks initial leave (rising to 6.6 weeks after 2 years), plus an extra day off for your birthday.
