An exciting opportunity due to practice growth has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced Vet Surgeon to join a friendly and vibrant team based in Essex.
This role is set within an RCVS-accredited surgery offering gold-standard clinical care, a welcoming environment, and a strong work-life balance. Located near excellent transport links (including direct rail access to London in under an hour) and local coastal attractions, it offers a great blend of convenience and lifestyle.
🏥 Practice & Team Highlights:
- Team Structure: Working alongside an experienced Joint Venture Partner / Veterinary Surgeon, 1 additional Veterinary Surgeon, 1 Head RVN, 2 RVNs, 4 Client Care Advisors, and 1 Practice Manager.
- Facilities & Equipment: Brand-new ultrasound machine with 4 probes, endoscope, in-house laboratory, X-ray machine, and dental equipment.
📅 Rota & Hours:
- Working Pattern: Ideally a full-time role working 40 hours per week (shifts running 9:00am – 7:30pm).
- Weekend Rota: Includes Saturdays.
- Out of Hours: No OOH duties.
👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Active RCVS registration.
- Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong surgical skills (dentistry experience is advantageous).
- Confident and comfortable with sole charge work and managing an independent caseload.
- Passionate about small animal care with strong client communication skills.
- Team player committed to ongoing professional development.
💰 Package & Benefits:
- Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience / full-time equivalent).
- Holiday Allowance: 5.6 weeks initial holiday (rising to 6.6 weeks after 2 years' service) plus an extra day off for your birthday.
