We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent veterinary surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team of 13 vets (7 FTE) at a proudly independent practice in Essex. There is also a small branch site nearby.
This is a busy, well-established practice with a high and varied caseload. The team includes vets with between 4 and 40 years’ experience, offering a welcoming and collaborative environment for both new graduates and experienced vets alike.
The practice has undergone a full refurbishment and extension, including separate cat waiting and consulting areas. Equipment includes a new dental x-ray system, ultrasound, video-endoscopy, digital x-ray, and excellent in-house lab facilities. Certificate holders in dermatology and soft tissue surgery are part of the team.
The nursing team includes 14 nurses, 10 of whom are registered. Many have trained internally, and the practice is an RCVS-accredited nurse training centre. The practice is also ISFM and RWAF accredited.
Appointments are 15 minutes as standard. The role includes one set operating day per week, one fixed weekday off, and a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota. There are no out-of-hours.
