A busy, well‑established small animal practice in Essex is seeking an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join its large, supportive clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet with at least three years’ UK experience who enjoys a varied caseload, modern facilities and a collaborative working environment.
The Practice You’ll be joining a highly experienced team consisting of:
13 Vets
12 RVNs
10 Student Nurses
10 Receptionists
The practice is purpose‑built to industry‑leading standards and equipped with:
Two dedicated operating theatres
Digital radiography
Dental radiography
Ultrasound
Full endoscopy
CT scanner
In‑house laboratory
The practice continues to invest in advanced equipment and clinical services, supporting vets who wish to develop their skills or study towards certificates.
The caseload is varied and busy, offering excellent exposure across medicine, surgery and diagnostics. Applicants must be confident with routine procedures, occasional sole charge and have strong internal medicine experience.
The Role This is a full‑time position split across four weekdays, with a weekend rota of:
1 in 6 full weekends
1 in 6 Saturdays only
Part‑time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
You’ll need to be:
Confident in routine surgery and consultations
Comfortable with occasional sole charge
Strong in diagnostics and internal medicine
Flexible, positive and team‑focused
Excellent with client communication and customer care
The practice has a dedicated day and night team, ensuring 24/7 onsite patient care.
