The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, RCVS-accredited practice on the Essex coast.
This thriving first-opinion practice has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional clinical care alongside outstanding client service. With a loyal client base, a varied caseload and a collaborative team culture, this role offers the perfect environment for a vet looking to enjoy both professional development and genuine work-life balance.
About the Practice
You'll be joining a supportive team of experienced vets, nurses and support staff working across two modern and well-equipped sites. Facilities include:
- Modern surgical theatres
- Dental x-ray suite
- Ultrasound facilities
- In-house diagnostics
- Dedicated nursing and reception teams
The practice is committed to continuous improvement and actively supports team members looking to develop new skills, pursue further qualifications or bring additional expertise into the business.
The Role
- Full-time position, ideally 4 days per week
- 9am–7pm shifts
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am–1pm)
- 20-minute consultations
- Some sole charge responsibilities
- Protected lunch breaks and genuine focus on wellbeing
About You
- Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
- Confident with both consulting and routine surgical procedures
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Passionate about delivering high standards of patient and client care
