This well established independent practice is located close to amazing sailing facilities, stunning vineyards and beautiful coastal & countryside walks. 
This practice has grown and evolved over the years so being a dedicated small animal practice, mainly dogs and cats however they do also have some exotic patients. 
They take great pride in the quality of work they provide, making diagnosis a priority (not just treat) and have a wide range of equipment including DR and dental radiography, multi-parameters anaesthetic monitors, Doppler blood pressure
monitors, capnography, tonopen, high-spec. ultrasound machine, rigid endoscope, gastroscope and bronchoscope, bair huggers for all our patients under anaesthesia, dedicated dental suite, in-house
laboratory with endocrinology and Sedivue urine analyser.
They have separate dog, cat and exotics wards that minimises the patient’s stress when in for an operation, procedure or hospitalisation.
They also have a separate isolation ward if required.
Plus they work in an air-conditioned building that provides all-round comfort for man and beast, alike!
They benefit from a visiting peripatetic orthopaedic / soft tissue surgeon and cardiologist that enables them to offer the highest level of care in-house.
They also have unusually, a home-built pizza oven in their lovely garden, allowing them the pleasure fantastic pizzas.

The vet team is made up of a suitable mix of many-years qualified and newly-qualified vets, allowing everybody to contribute to ever-evolving medical protocols. They have an online subscription to the
BSAVA manuals library, enabling quick access to medical and surgical information.
A learning culture is very important to them, with monthly clinical governance meetings to help improve patient outcomes.
They are looking for a progressive, friendly, caring, communicative, team player assistant to compliment our 9-vet team (making it up to 10 again) that wants to offer an outstanding service to patients and clients.

3. A salary from £30k -£65k depending on experience, based on a 40-hour week
4. Weekend work - 2 weekends in every 8 weeks, with days off in lieu
5. Bank holidays are worked on a rota system, averaging 1 day / year, with time of in-lieu

8. Support is provided (and essential), with everybody sharing and reviewing caseloads, having open dialogue and conversations.
