Overview GVC are supporting a modern, well-equipped small animal practice in Leicestershire with the recruitment of an experienced Veterinary Surgeon. Offering a varied caseload, a supportive clinical team and opportunities to develop clinical interests, this role would suit a vet looking to progress their career in a collaborative environment.
The Role The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of routine small animal medical and surgical cases, with the opportunity to develop further interests. An interest in orthopaedics would be advantageous but is not essential.
The practice also sees exotic cases, with equipment and CPD support available. Home visits are carried out using the practice's own vehicle.
The role offers:
- Full-time hours of 40 per week
- No out-of-hours work or sole-charge duties
- Salary from £50,000+, depending on experience, with annual reviews
- Shared bank holiday rota, typically three to four per year
- Opportunities to develop clinical interests and skills
About You The practice is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon confident with routine medical and surgical cases. Strong communication skills, a supportive approach to colleagues and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and patients are important.
An interest in orthopaedics or exotic medicine would be welcomed, but is not essential.
