An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Emergency Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive out-of-hours team within a large, RCVS-accredited small animal hospital in Gloucestershire.
This well-established hospital operates from a modern, recently refurbished facility equipped with advanced technology, including multiple theatres, CT imaging, laparoscopic equipment, rigid and flexible endoscopy, and high-specification ultrasound systems. The hospital supports both its own clients and numerous practices across the county, offering a challenging and varied emergency caseload.
The successful candidate will work alongside a highly skilled and supportive clinical team, including experienced night nurses and a large daytime veterinary team with certificate holders across multiple disciplines.
The Role
- Dedicated night veterinary position within a busy emergency and referral environment
- Working pattern of 7 nights on, followed by 14 nights off (Monday to Sunday rota)
- Lead and support a dedicated night nursing team
- Manage a varied caseload of emergency medical and surgical cases
- Deliver high standards of patient and client care in a fast-paced hospital setting
