An independent, hospital-based practice in Greater Manchester is seeking a compassionate and motivated First Opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and award-winning team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a first opinion setting supported by referral-level facilities and expertise.
The practice is proudly independent and family-run, offering first opinion services within a referral hospital environment. They hold RCVS hospital status and have received multiple “Outstanding” awards, reflecting their commitment to delivering exceptional care at accessible costs. Their facilities include in-house MRI, CT, colour Doppler ultrasound, video endoscopy, a DR X-ray suite, and three theatres—all on one level.
The role offers:
A supportive team environment with 8 vets, 14 RVNs and 4 receptionists
Protected admin time every day and the ability to tailor your diary
Exposure to both first opinion cases and advanced imaging and surgical work
The opportunity to work closely with certificate holders in surgery, dermatology, and imaging

Location: Greater Manchester
Position: Permanent First Opinion Veterinary Surgeon
Working pattern: 4-day working week, 1 in 7 Saturdays, no out-of-hours
