Looking for Variety Without the Chaos?
If you are an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who thrives on clinical challenge but wants to feel supported rather than stretched, this could be the balance you have been searching for.
The Opportunity
We are working with a busy, purpose built clinic in Failsworth that has built its reputation on doing things differently. This is not a profit first environment. It is a Community Interest Company with a clear mission: no pet should go untreated when there is a viable option.
Here, you are not simply filling a rota gap. You are joining a team that believes veterinary care should be accessible, transparent, and delivered without ego or hierarchy. The clinic is thriving, with a varied caseload that spans medicine, soft tissue surgery, and orthopaedics. They are looking for an experienced vet who enjoys clinical diversity and wants to be part of a genuinely collaborative culture.
Success in this role means becoming a trusted clinical voice within a team that shares knowledge freely and backs one another up. It means practising high quality medicine in an environment designed to support both patients and professionals.
Why This Role Is Different
A Properly Equipped Clinical Environment
This clinic is built for efficiency and quality care:
- Three operating theatres
- Dedicated X-ray and dental suite
- Seven consulting rooms to manage a busy caseload
- Separate dog and cat wards to minimise stress during hospitalisation
You are not compromising on equipment or space. The infrastructure matches the ambition.
Clinical Breadth That Keeps You Engaged
Cases range across medical investigations, soft tissue procedures, and orthopaedics. The team includes certificate holders, meaning you are surrounded by colleagues who are continuing to push their own standards higher. If you enjoy learning from others and sharing ideas, you will fit straight in.
A Flat, Collaborative Culture
There is no traditional hierarchy here. Every team member is encouraged to contribute to clinical discussions and decision making. The focus is shared responsibility, not job titles. It is a genuinely inclusive environment where your voice matters.
Your Journey Here
In Your First Month
You will focus on integrating with the team, understanding clinical workflows, and getting comfortable with the scale and variety of cases. Expect support from experienced colleagues as you settle in.
By Three Months
You will be confidently managing a broad caseload, contributing to case discussions, and potentially identifying areas of clinical interest you would like to develop further.
By Six Months
You will be an established and trusted part of the team. With CPD and certificate funding available, you may already be progressing towards further qualifications or shaping the direction of specific service areas.
