Veterinary Surgeon – Full-Time or Part-Time | South East Hampshire
South East Hampshire | No Weekends | 35-Hour Core Week | £50–60k + Benefits
Are you a vet who loves the work, but not the long days, impossible rotas, or being on call? We offer a role designed for wellbeing, autonomy, and excellent patient care. With a structured 35-hour core week, no weekends, and no out-of-hours, you can focus on delivering top-quality GP care alongside a genuinely supportive team.
This is a thriving coastal practice, where you’ll step into the shoes of a long-term colleague who is relocating. The team operates independently with full clinical autonomy, allowing local decision-making and the chance to shape the care you provide.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Consulting (15-minute slots) with time built in for notes and follow-up
• Routine operations, dentistry, diagnostics, and general GP work with full nurse support
• Sole charge one day per week, with backup from the experienced team
• Collaborating with RVNs (including advanced diploma holders), SVNs, and skilled reception staff
• Supporting and contributing to a positive, professional, and practical practice environment
What We Offer
• Competitive salary: £50,000–£60,000 depending on experience
• £1,250 CPD allowance and 5 paid CPD days
• Private medical insurance
• Critical illness and life assurance cover
• Personal accident insurance during working hours
• VDS and RCVS fees paid
• Staff discounts and access to wellbeing support
• Five weeks holiday plus bank holidays
• 40-hour contract with a 35-hour core week (extra hours banked for emergencies)
• No weekends or out-of-hours
• Supportive, collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth
Who We’re Looking For
• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with UK small animal experience
• Comfortable with general surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics
• Able to manage limited sole charge confidently
• Compassionate, collaborative, and committed to high-quality patient care
• Excellent communicator who values teamwork and mutual support
Whether you’re looking for a fresh start, relocating to the coast, or simply hoping to enjoy veterinary life again, we’d love to hear from you. We’re happy to shape the role to suit the right candidate.
