🏥 About the Practice
This small animal practice is home to a welcoming and close-knit team, including experienced Vets, RVNs, VCAs and a dedicated receptionist. The practice benefits from a strong client base with a high proportion of insured pets and a commitment to providing extended appointment times—30 minutes for non-routine, 15 for vaccinations—ensuring the highest standard of care.
You’ll be working in a purpose-built surgery that offers:
- Separate cat, dog and isolation wards
- A fully equipped theatre dedicated to sterile procedures
- Digital X-ray and ultrasound
- Capnography and pulse oximetry
- In-house lab with microscope
The practice also partners with visiting specialists for advanced imaging and surgical procedures, giving the nursing team a chance to be involved in a wide variety of interesting cases.
💼 Your Role
As a key member of the team, you’ll be involved in all areas of nursing, from supporting in theatre and running nurse consults to patient care and assisting with diagnostics. You’ll also have the opportunity to support the day-to-day running of the practice and contribute ideas for its continuous development.
Shift Options:
- Two main shift patterns (30-minute unpaid lunch included):
- 8:45am – 5:15pm
- 10:45am – 7:15pm
- 1 in 3 Saturdays (9:00am – 1:00pm), either paid or taken as time off in lieu
- No OOH or overnight duties
- Flexibility for full or part-time working
🧑⚕️ What We’re Looking For
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
- Confident with anaesthesia, patient monitoring, and running nurse clinics
- Organised, detail-oriented and proactive in delivering exceptional care
- Passionate about veterinary nursing with an interest in developing both clinical and business skills
- Someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative and motivated team
