GVC is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon on behalf of a well-established small animal practice group in Hertfordshire with over 40 years in the local community. This is a 4-day week role with no OOH, strong development support and a genuinely collaborative team culture.
About the practice
A multi-site small animal group, part of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and a training practice for veterinary nurses. Loyal long-term client base with a high proportion of insured patients. A visiting orthopaedic surgeon covers complex orthopaedic cases. Current vets in the team are working towards certificates in medicine and dermatology. The experienced nursing team takes an active clinical role in inpatient care.
Equipment includes digital X-ray, dental X-ray and ultrasound with colour flow Doppler.
The role
4-day, 40-hour week. No OOH. Approximately 40% consultations, 60% surgery. Primarily based across main multi-vet sites with occasional sole charge. One in three Saturdays and one in six full weekends with time off in lieu.
What is on offer
