Group practice, no OOH, sole charge opportunity, 11-vet team with diverse clinical interests — full & part-time considered across Kent sites.
Who They Are
This is a well-established, independently spirited small animal group practice operating across multiple sites in the Medway Towns, Kent — a location that blends countryside, coast, and fast rail links to London in under 45 minutes. Founded in 1982, the group has grown steadily into four practices, all equipped to a high clinical standard and supported by a stable, long-serving team — many of whom have been with the practice for decades.
With 11 vets, 14 RVNs, and a dedicated client care team of 18 across the group, this is a practice built on genuine teamwork and a strong sense of community. Leadership is structured and supportive, with Lead Vets across the group and dedicated nurse and client care leads at each site.
This is a practice that takes clinical standards seriously, invests in its people, and has the culture and stability to prove it.
What You'll Do
- Manage a varied first-opinion small animal caseload across multiple sites, with the opportunity to work cases up in-house
- Conduct clinical examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures using on-site facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house laboratory services
- Carry out routine and elective surgical procedures within well-equipped sterile theatres, with access to peripatetic specialist support when needed
- Deliver care aligned with RCVS best practice guidelines, with a focus on patient safety, pain management, and evidence-based medicine
- Discuss and communicate treatment plans clearly with owners, including for non-routine surgeries and diagnostics
- Work collaboratively across a multi-site team of vets, RVNs, and client care staff — with the ability to work sole charge on occasion
- Contribute to the development and growth of a branch site, helping to bring it back to full clinical operation

- A rare sole charge opportunity — the chance to put a real stamp on a branch site and grow it into a thriving practice
- Clinical mentorship from a team with diverse specialist interests including orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, ultrasonography, dermatology, and complementary therapies
