Clyde Veterinary Group
Are you a passionate Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a supportive, forward-thinking team in a growing practice that truly invests in your career? Do you value your work-life balance? Here at Clyde Veterinary Group, we’re proud to offer flexible working hours tailored to your lifestyle and personal commitments, so let us tell you why we're the practice you've been looking for...
Our clients are at the heart of everything we do and due to expansion, we’re looking to grow our Small Animal team so that we can continue to provide the best possible care to all of our patients.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our supportive and collaborative team. This role is ideally suited to a vet who is confident in general practice and keen to contribute to a busy caseload while continuing to develop their clinical skills within a friendly environment.
Why Choose Us:
1. Our practice is situated in a beautiful location.
- Our state-of-the-art flagship practice is located in the Royal Burgh of Lanark; a bustling market town located in the beautiful lower Clyde Valley. Picture spending your weekends exploring the nearby waterfalls, lochs and Woodlands – or Glasgow is just 40 minutes away by car if that’s more your style.
2. We’ve got great facilities and equipment.
- On the Small Animal side, we provide high standards of veterinary care from our hospital in Lanark and branches in Lesmahagow and Wishaw. We are an RCVS accredited, modern practice with equipment that includes laser therapy, video endoscopy, ultrasound and digital x-ray!
3. We have an excellent team of nurses.
- We regularly hold nursing clinics and provide 24/7 nurse cover.
4. Fantastic team of Vets.
- Our Vet team ranges from recently qualified to certificate holders, all with varied interests from hiking and paddle boarding to baking. We regularly hold clinical discussions and invite everyone to participate.
5. Minimal on call.
- Yes, we do cover our own on-call, but we work hard to make sure you have an amazing work-life balance. We ask that you do 1 in 11 weeks on-call.
6. Don’t just take our word for it…
- Following a recent colleague survey, we received a 2-star ‘Best Companies’ award. This recognition is a testament to the positive feedback from our dedicated team, highlighting our commitment to fostering a supportive and rewarding work environment. Furthermore, in 2023, we were recognised as one of Scotland’s top ten best companies to work for.
Some more information about the role:
We appreciate that being a Veterinary Surgeon can bring its challenges, and no two days are the same, we offer 15-minute consults and a varied caseload.
When on-call, more experienced vets must be comfortable working sole charge; a support structure is in place for less experienced colleagues on-call.
