Our client is looking to recruit a Vet Surgeon to join them starting as soon as possible.
The role requires a Vet who is dedicated to offering a high standard of patient and client care, with knowledge in animal physiology, nutrition and medicine as well as the practical skills needed to diagnose and treat.
Your responsibilities will include staying familiar with the ethics of the practice, present a professional appearance, assume responsibility for surgical and medical cases, ensure that all treatment given is in line with informed consent and in accordance with UK legislation and RCVS guide to professional conduct, understand your role in contributing to the financial performance of the practice, etc.
You must be confident with all animal care duties, including carrying out head to toe examinations on patients, keeping accurate records, monitoring hospitalised patients, operating, dealing with emergencies, etc.
There is also an admin side to this role, which includes having a basic knowledge of financial targets, assisting with stock ordering/rotation, completing daily stat figures, participate in appraisals. Etc.
