JR is recruiting on behalf of our client for an ambitious and experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon. This is a unique opportunity to take a senior clinical role in a thriving, well-established practice with a loyal client base.
What the Role Offers:
- Lead the veterinary team while maintaining a hands-on clinical focus
- Sole charge two days per week, with strong support from an experienced team
- Opportunity to shape clinical standards, mentor colleagues, and influence practice growth
- Focus on advanced cases, particularly in dermatology or ophthalmology if relevant to your experience
- Full-time, 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays (flexible working options considered)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality veterinary care across consultations, surgery, and in-patient care
- Lead, support, and mentor the veterinary and nursing teams
- Build excellent relationships with clients and ensure a consistently positive patient experience
- Implement and maintain clinical protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with the management team to drive efficiency and commercial performance
About You:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with experience in small animal practice
- Confident in both medical and surgical cases, including advanced procedures
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
- Motivated to uphold the highest standards of patient care and client service
- Team player with the ability to inspire and develop colleagues
