An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive team at a practice in Lancashire. This is a group of three surgeries (1 consult only) offering predominantly small animal and equine first opinion care. You will have a varied caseload including an equine caseload that would be your choice to be involved in or not. As well as, a good mixture of small animal consultations and surgeries including routine, preventative care and some ECC, the team even see some wildlife from time to time. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Weekday shifts will be a mixture of 09:00 – 18:30, 10:00 – 19:00 and 09:00 – 19:00. You’ll be required to cover the shared weekend rota; this is currently 1 in 6 (consults only). Saturdays are 09:30 – 14:00 and Sundays will be 10:00 – 13:00. No OOH or on-call. The practice is RCVS accredited and clinical standards are exceptionally high. You will be joining a friendly team made up of 2 Clinical Directors, 5 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 RVN’s, 2 Student nurses, 1 VCA & 14 Admin and support staff. The ideal candidate will be MRCVS qualified and have some previous experience.
