Veterinary Surgeon – Leicestershire (Permanent, Part-Time)
GVC is working with a well-established, friendly small animal practice in Leicestershire to recruit a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a permanent position with a focus on work-life balance.
Role:
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be accountable for patient care while delivering exceptional service to clients, patients, and colleagues. You’ll maintain the highest standards of regulatory and operational compliance and contribute positively to the clinic culture.
This is a part-time position, working Wednesday to Friday, with minimal weekend commitment (1 in 6). You will enjoy protected lunch breaks, clear last appointment times, and the autonomy to work sole charge when needed, supported by an experienced and collaborative team.
The Team & Environment:

Role Accountabilities:
- Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients and communicate clearly with clients.
- Maintain professional excellence and compliance with all regulatory and operational standards.
- Prepare tailored treatment and care plans with transparent cost estimates.
- Mentor and develop team members, sharing best practice across the practice network.
- Support smooth clinical handovers and patient transfers when required.
Your Skills and Experience:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Experienced in delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Effective team player with clinical leadership abilities.
- Familiar with progressive clinical practices and supporting nurse consults.
- Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve high performance.
